A Hand-Crafted Tradition Since 1972
R&A Robinson Florist began selling flowers out of a trailer stand located in Whittier in 1972 after Los Angeles began issuing peddling permits. It was run by Ronald and Alicia Robinson and the first employees were their eldest sons, David and Stan. In 1976, they opened up their first brick-and-mortar location and moved to their current location on Workman Mill Road in 2008.
Our second, and main location, is in Rowland Heights, where the shop first operated out of a trailer parked next to a Texaco station on the corner of Colima & Fullerton Rd. When Rowland Heights became more industrialized and Fullerton Road became a larger thoroughfare through the city, we opened our doors at our current location in 1984. Most unique at the time, R&A Robinson Florist was open on Sundays, which is something we continue to do to this day.
Our newest location is in Glendora and opened in 2006. The business began by selling bouquets to families heading to the Oakdale cemetery but has grown to service the community of Glendora and the surrounding cities.
In 2009, Ronald & Alicia Robinson decided it was time to retire and sold R&A Robinson Florist to their son, George Robinson. George has carried on the tradition of exceptional customer service with an emphasis on a quality product at the best value that would lead R&A Robinson Florist to success in the future.
