For over 240 years, July 4th has been a day set apart to celebrate the unique freedoms that we have come to appreciate in the United States. But its beginnings were a little fuzzy – from John Adams publicly declaring that July 2nd was Independence Day, to the majority of the founding fathers not signing the Declaration of Independence until August 2nd. Still, the date written on the original document prevailed, and a nation was born.
Did You Know? John Hancock was one of only two members of Congress who signed on July 4th – which explains his favored position on the document.

Red, white & blue flowers offer a beautiful way to decorate for any Fourth of July party. Sea to Shining Sea, shown above, is a dramatic display which utilizes red carnations, white roses, snapdragons and waxflower, and blue delphinium, in a classic patriotic display that will add color and style to any holiday gathering.
Celebrate the indomitable American Spirit with red roses, red carnations, blue hydrangea, white stargazers, and white mums – crowned with Old Glory herself.
America the Beautiful, featured below, showcases red roses and carnations, white Asiatic lilies and alstroemeria, and blue statice. Arranged in an exclusive blue glass cube and displaying the American flag, you’ll be proud to place this floral design in the middle of your table.
Meaningful Colors: In regard to our flag, the colors are very symbolic – red stands for sacrifice and valor, white for purity and innocence, and blue for brotherhood, perseverance, and justice. No wonder our flag is so steeped in tradition.
